The Semi-Heavy Duty Grass Protection Mesh is used widely for tracks and access over grass and open ground and is designed for vehicles up to 4 tonnes axle load.

Like the Heavy Duty Mesh, this lighter version also includes the unique 'wavy' pattern that gives this material it's slip-resistant surface. For extra grip - especially for high wear walking tracks, or where the material is laid on slopes (max 1:20 gradient) we are able to apply a resin coat with aggregate effectively roughening the surface.

From experience, we do not recommend this grade for use with Horses (only Heavy-Duty Mesh is recommended) however many customer have used the mesh successfully for walk ways after correct ground preparation.

To fix - we suggest plastic pins for use with animals, and steel U pins for vehicle use. Where ground is extra stoney, plastic pins may not work so it is worth testing the area first with a probe (long screwdriver). In best conditions pins can be inserted at 500mm centres, however to ensure the mesh is adequately held down, 350mm centres are suggested (this equates to around 200 pins per 2m x 20m roll) - each roll carries a suggested pin usage, but this is relevant to your particular ground conditions.
