STABLE-DPM

STABLE- DPM  is a formulated system used for immediate installation of moisture sensitive floor finishes onto concretes and screeds which have a moisture content up to 100% RH.

Used extensively in the food, aviation, engineering, electronic, chemical, and printing industries.

  METHOD OF APPLICATION

 

PREPARATION

The substrate(floor) should be sound and of good strength, the surface should be dry and free from contamination i.e dust, oil or other coatings. The substrate(floor) should be textured mechanically to achieve a good key. The substrate must be surface dry before application.

 MIXING / APPLICATION

Thoroughly mix STABLE-DPM by adding the contents of the hardener container to the base container and mix using a slow speed drill and paddle.

Apply the mixed resin immediately to the floor by roller in two or three coats as required.

The second coat is applied 12 to 24 hours after the first and the third coat is applied 12 to 24 hours after the second.

To achieve a mechanical key for screed application, broadcast 60 mesh aggregate into the second coat of DPM and allow to cure overnight, remove excess and loose aggregate before screed application (broom or vacuum). If a resin coating or screed is to be applied the sand scatter can be omitted.

For direct bonding to STABLE- DPM the adhesive manufacturer should be consulted to determine if a sanded or unsanded finish is required.

Best results are obtained when the temperature of the substrate is between 10°C and 25°C,

Minimum application temperature is 7°C.Clean tools etc with a suitable solvent before the resin has cured.
