Shipments and returns

Your shipment

Please ensure you add your TELEPHONE CONTACT DETAILS as the carrier will need to call you before making your delivery. We also require the CORRECT POSTCODE.

IF YOU HAVE ANY DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS (IE NARROW ENTRANCE ETC) THAT REQUIRE A SMALL DELIVERY VEHICLE (LORRIES 7.5TONNE MIN) PLEASE ENSURE YOU ADVISE THIS AT TIME OF ORDER AS EXTRA CHARGES WILL APPLY FOR RE-DELIVERIES.

IF A LORRY DELIVERY IS UNABLE TO DELIVER TO YOUR PROPERTY FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY REASONS (IE OVERHANGING BRANCHES, NARROW OPENINGS, SOFT OR UNSTABLE SURFACES ETC) THEN THE LOAD MAY NEED TO BE DROPPED OUTSIDE ONTO THE NEAREST HARD SURFACE – THE CARRIER WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MOVING THE LOAD ONCE OFF THE LORRY, SO YOU WILL NEED TO ENSURE YOU ARE ABLE TO MOVE MATS OFFLOADED UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES.

IF AN ORDER IS CANCELLED DUE TO INABILITY TO OFFLOAD FOR WHATEVER REASON, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO CREDIT THE FREIGHT CHARGES OR THE RETURN TO BASE CHARGES.

Packages are generally dispatched within 2 days after receipt of payment and pallets are shipped via TPN (The Pallet Network) or parcels via APC – both with tracking and drop-off with signature. Special next day services are available to most parts of the UK by TPN (APC is almost all next day) and an additional cost will be applied, so please contact us before choosing this method. Whichever shipment choice you make, we will provide you with a link to track your package online as soon as the goods leave our warehouses if requested.

Shipping fees include handling and packing fees as well as postage costs. Handling fees are fixed, whereas transport fees vary according to total weight of the shipment. We advise you to group your items in one order. We cannot group two distinct orders placed separately, and shipping fees will apply to each of them. Your package will be dispatched at your own risk, but special care is taken to protect fragile objects.

As collections by carriers from us generally take place after 1:30pm, we have a cut-off point of 12:00am allowing enough time for packing of goods prior to collection. Orders taken after this time will roll over to the next working day for despatch, and delivery times will be calculated from this despatch day.

Palleted deliveries of rubber mats

We have four basic pallet sizes:

1m x 1m pallets for Crumb Rubber Tiles – max 1250kg (approx 50 sqmt)

1m x 1.2m pallets as Quarter (up to 250kg), Half (251 to 500kg) and Full (501kg to 1250kg) – normally used for up to 24 Solid Rubber Stable Mats, up to 20 Hollow Mats etc

1m x 1.5m pallets for Hollow Mats 21 to 70 max per pallet

1.22m x 1.84m oversize pallets for flat loads of Stable mats – 25 to 35 mats per pallet up to 1400kgs – these pallets are also used for volume deliveries of EVA mats (10mm thick can be rolled and sent in packs of 5 by small parcel carrier for small batch deliveries)

Pallet services are based on either Next Working Day or 2 to 3 Working Days – both from date of despatch. While we try to despatch orders on same day placed, we do have variable cut-off times according to volumes moving through (normally 12:00 noon). Special Saturday morning or timed deliveries can be made but these will be at a premium which we will notify you of before despatch (once agreed the premium will be charged).

Pallet deliveries are made on lorries with tail-lifts capable of unloading up to 1 tonne pallets via pallet truck onto flat, hard standing (loose gravel will need to have construction boards laid down to enable unloading). Heavier pallets will need either mechanical handling on site (fork-lift or front-end loader etc) or assistance will be required to help off-load by hand. Please remember our drivers remit is to deliver to site onto the closest hard-standing for you – they are not insured to move mats into buildings or across thresholds, or to manually lift mats off pallets once unloaded off their lorry. If you have requested our fitting service, then our fitter is normally happy to move the mats short distances when fitting, but again may require either manual or mechanical help depending on circumstances.

Next Day Small Parcel deliveries

We use APC next (working) day for parcels up to a maximum of 50kgs – this includes certain size rolls of mesh product 2m in roll size. Single Sheets of 20mm and 22mm EVA can be supplied flat packed up to a maximum of 25kg per parcel. APC are mainly a business to business service, so will require a signature for each delivery unless you are prepared to accept responsibility for any goods left, in which case a signed note is normally required for goods to be left in your absence.

Collections

You are welcome to collect in person, or arrange collection by your own transport from our stores at Bulmer – just outside Sudbury, Suffolk / Essex border – feel free to ring for directions, collection times etc

Seconds

We often have seconds available – however unless you are happy for us to supply ‘as they come’ we suggest that these are best purchased as a collection, at which point you can view the mats and the usable areas. Remember – these mats do not carry any guarantee.

Stock Levels

While we try to ensure the stated stock levels shown on the web are correct, we may at times have incorrect figures shown, especially for low-level stock items. In the event you order an item showing as ‘in stock’ on day of order, but in fact when we come to pick stock it is unavailable, we will contact you within 1 working day to advise the soonest delivery of replacement stock.

BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS

Our carriers do their best to deliver in bad weather conditions – however when it is IMPOSSIBLE or UNSAFE to make deliveries, these will be put off until they are able to do so. We will be unable to credit carriage charges for goods that are late due to poor weather.

Cancellation by the Purchaser

Please refer to our Terms and Conditions of Sale concerning cancellation charges should you wish to cancel after ordering with us (this includes cancellation following late delivery due to poor weather conditions).
