ASCOT MATReference : HMASCOT
The same appearance as the traditional BubbleTop Mat, but produced from a denser compound of rubber and is therefore harder wearing. Little “bubbles” on the top side of this mat provide the best gripping surface, grooves run the length of the mat on the underside. It is important to fit the mats as tightly as possible so if you would like to take advantage of our fitting and installation service please do not hesitate to contact us.
These mats are 184cm (6ft) x 122cm (4ft) x 17mm thick with an average weight of 44kg.
This Bubbletop pattern matting is one of the most commonly used solid rubber mats in the UK. The top surface is covered in hundreds of small ‘bubbles’ or domes – approximately 13mm diameter x 2.5mm to 3mm high, offering a good, non-slip surface, particularly useful for older horses that need more grip. Suitable for use in various applications including the following:
The underside of the mat has deep drainage grooves running along the length of the mat assisting the drainage of fluids from underneath the mat. This mat can also be laid onto hardcore or earth floors making it very versatile.
While the mats are normally used bubble up, they are equally as useful laying the bubbles down where they then offer a multi-directional underside drainage especially when laid on trowel finished concrete.
We also offer this mat for use on horse-exercisers – supplied in standard sheet size and fitted as a DIY project. Alternatively please see our bespoke dovetail cut mats, manufactured specifically to your walker dimensions, and each mat cut to the most precise tolerances.
