Classified as 'Hollow Rubber Mats' these 1m x 1.5m x 22mm thick mats have a variety of uses including:
Anti-Poaching Mats - especially useful for gateways, around feeders and water troughsÂ
Walkway Mats - used on both hard and soft surfaces for a good anti-slip walking surface
Anti-Fatigue Mats - relieves muscle stress when standing in hard surfaces for period of time
Play Mats - up to 3m fall height to BS EN1177* when laid onto grass (tests and certification can be offered at your particular site - please call for costs)
Dirt Collection Mats - suitable for door entrance mats
Washdown Mats - laid onto drainage medium, these mats allow water to pass straight through while offering a safe, non-slip floor surface.
Caravan Mats - these mats can be easily rolled up to transport and are perfect for door mats, or under awnings around your caravan !
The mats are normally fixed together using cable ties, of for temporary fixing when laid onto solid floors, a special moulded rubber connector is also available. Plastic fixing pins are used where the mats need to be anchored to grass which quickly grows through the 25-30mm holes in the mats.
The mats can be back-filled with pea-shingle, bark, sand etc to provide access for wheelchairs when laid onto soft areas.
When laid onto soft areas, or where light vehicle use is also expected, we can also supply an underlay mesh offering weight support and minimising the effect of mats being compressed into wet soil which can result in rubber mats tearing.
Typically where these mats are used with horses for anti-poaching in gateways etc, please refer to our information on Heavy Duty Mesh products, which are often used in conjunction with rubber mats to create higher strength and better weight supporting areas.
Material: 100% Natural Rubber and Synthetic Rubber Blend with recycled content (carbon black) for environmental purposes.

TESTING - the current certificate to BS EN1177 has recently expired - the originator of this cert (a test house in Australia) is no longer in business following the global recession, and we are now about to test material at RAPRA in the UK - new certificates will then be issued for each public body requesting documents - this service will only be free to Public Authorities and Limited Companies who are able to confirm the final use of materials in Public Places. Certification charges may be applicable to other companies or private users under requirements of our Public Liability insurance.
New testing to BS EN1177 now being done, latest certificate will be issued for March 2012Â
