Their added length makes them particularly effective where greater resistance to uplift and movement is required.
Installation Tips:
- Prepare the turf surface — clear stones and level if possible.
- Position your mat or mesh in place.
- Insert pins at regular centres depending on ground conditions and product type.
- Use a rubber mallet for firm or compacted soil.
For best results in wetter or softer ground, we recommend closer pin spacing to ensure optimal stability.
For Rubber GrassSupport mats, the normal procedure is to use 1 pin in the middle of each sheet and 1 in each corner. So 5 pins per mat. For Grass Mesh products, pins should be used from 500mm to 350mm centers depending on the type of ground. Typically a 2m x 20m roll of mesh would use 200 plastic pins.
